After the success of the 2016 Carnival Procession, it's time to start organising all the inventive, colorful and fun entries for this year.

The 2017 Procession has the theme of 'The World of Children's Books'

​

This gives the opportunity for groups, families and individuals to use their creative imaginations and produce entries which can be based on either one story book or fill a float with as many stories as they can create.

​

Anything can be included from Thomas the Tank engine to modern teenage novels. 

​

In addition to designing something within this theme, we also welcome entries from all the marching bands, dance groups, majorettes and any other groups that want to get involved in one of the biggest community Carnivals in the area.

​

An important aim for 2017 is not just having fun and impressing the village, family and friends but also making this year's event bigger and better than ever before! We still have a number of lorries/floats available for groups to 'travel in style' and this year we would love to see a lot of family, neighbours and friendship groups entering and walking, riding or finding inventive ways to amaze the crowds and travel the route.

The number of floats we can include is limited, so if your group requires one, please book these as early as possible.
