Martham Fun Carnival has been going since the 1980's and is one of the few remaining carnivals in the area. The carnival provides local charities and organisations the opportunity to raise much needed funds. Local community groups have the chance to recruit new members and make people aware of what they have to offer. The whole weekend is free to attend, including live music and other entertainment for all ages to enjoy. Pitch fees do apply to stall holders. Martham Fun Carnival is a non-profit organisation. All money raised is used to organise the following year, no committee members receive payment for their work. There is no entry fee for groups to enter the parade and all money collected from authorised buckets can be kept by the charities or groups. Martham Fun Carnival would not be able to keep going without the hard work and dedication from the committee members, the stall holders and charities that attend and the general public's desire to attend and support their village carnival.
